Hi my name is Shaniece and I will be starting a youth conference line from the age 13- 18 on Monday's @ 7:00pm.Without the help of my Spiritual Mother Pastor Michelle Ragland I don't think I would be able to do this if it was not for her pushing me and encouraging me to walk into my calling. I love her just for being a great Woman Of God in my life that is always going to tell me what is right. The first lesson is going to be about The Old Nature I pick this b/c there is so many people living in sin and don't know how to come out of what their in but you not going to have to worry no more I'M going to tell you how to come out so get ready to call in and listen to God has to say to you!!

You have to believe in yourself if you want someone to believe in you, I believe in myself because I know that I am somebody. I believe in myself because I'M trying to get where God want me to be for me to get there I had to believe. To me believe means alot believe mean to accomplish & achieve what is right & do what you know best. Believe that God gave up his only son to die for our sin so that we can be save. Believe that God can save your family no matter what. I believe in God because I know he is always there when I going through. I BELIEVE that sometime when we call on him he hears us but he may not come when we call him but he see what we are going through but he said one more day one more step still believe. Believe when you can't hear his voice we just need to trust his plan because he's the Lord an I know he understand just believe.

Why do young people during these days and time feel that they have to be cool just to have friends? Well you don't you need to learn how to be yourself and people will start to respect for who you are you don't have to go out and have sex just because your friend did it. That don't make you cool or your friend it just tell the boys that you don't no respect for yourself learn who to say No, nobody cares if they get made because you told them no. They are going to talk about you because you said no, and they going to talk about you if you said yes God want the best for you in life He want you to make something out of yourself be what God want you to be and not what people tell you to be.

" A Love Like No Other"

As young teenagers, some girls dont know how it feels to be loved. So some of them think that sleeping around with boys will make them feel loved , or doing things that are not right to get a little attention will make them feel loved. Just acting out for no reason, any attention for them is good as long as someone shows interest in them. Some young girls will get pregnant if they are not loved by their parents. Girls that are not getting loved , anything a boy will tell them they will believe it. Like (your pretty , or i love you) if they don't hear this all the time by their parents they will believe it. Then they will make the mistake by getting pregnant. Then they will think the boy will stay, but that only makes him want to leave more. Once a boy gets what he wants he will leave (most of them). Young men thinking that smoking and being in gangs makes them cool , but most of the time it only leads to two things (Killed or locked up). So being cool is NOT having sex and smoking or drinking. Being cool is getting your education , and believing in the most high God. God is the satellite he knows where you are and where your going. All you have to do is follow him :) ♥

Christmas Caroling Evangelism

December 18, 2010 we are planning to evangelize the gospel of Jesus Christ through caroling in the Mecklenburg and Halifax County Areas. during this event we will present Christmas cards that exemplify the true meaning of the season which is the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Teen Pregnancy & Peer Pressure-“The Truth” Here’s the scenario: A girl just moved to a new place and a cute guy comes up to her and asks her out. She says yes and they begin to have a relationship. They’ve have been seeing each other for a good minute, maybe 3 months or less, by this time she has made friends with some of the neighborhood girls and they have already begun to have sex. In conversation one day they ask if she is a virgin, she lies and says no! Her boyfriend now because of the friends she hangs around and what He has heard she said is now ready to take their relationship to the next level (to have sex). The girl because of her dishonesty with herself and her friends is now faced with a decision. She cares for the boyfriend and does not want to lose the relationship, and she wants to be seen as cool in her friends’ eyes so, she has sex with him. She finds out she is pregnant several weeks later and tells the boyfriend, and he breaks up with her leaving her alone, confused and hurt! She is 15 years old! This happens every day in America and in High Schools. The Silent Killer……Are you listening? (Suicide)
Teenage suicide was the topic that we were touching on in youth group one Friday Feb. 12, 2010 (Youth Alive, Saint John Baptist Church) but the lesson was on identifying yourself through knowledge. Many teens in high school are dealing with identity crisis and finding themselves trying to “Shape shift” into whatever the peer group is they have connected themselves with all because they want to belong to something. We were told that most suicides happen between the hours of 3:00pm and 12 midnight, during the time when parents should be home, asleep and unaware of the pain their youth are in! What are some warning signs: depression, seem withdrawn, abusing drugs and alcohol and self injurious behavior. Read more at:

The war in the home
Problem: No matter how often your parents teach you about right and wrong, no matter how much you attend church on a regular basis, when it comes down to making the right decision (Good over Evil) you still have to make it! You know what is right but, you just can’t seem to make the right one all the time! Sometimes we allow our emotions to get the best of us and instead of being, “Quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to get angry...” We allow our mouth to just have its way. Always talking back to our parents, never really paying attention to what they say and always trying to explain our point. That gets me in trouble from time to time! Me and my brother get mad at each other a lot, and our parents talk to us about love, that the bible says, “If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” They say that God has told us to love one another and that if we are always fighting than we are not showing the love of God and that we break His law to love our brother. It is disobedient to God and to our parents. The bible says, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for it is right.” “Honor thy father and mother” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with thee and thee may live long on the earth.”(Ephesians 6:1-3)
Consequences:
If we misbehave we miss out on a lot of things that may have been blessings in our lives from God, from our parents and from our brothers and sisters!

Prayer: Father God in heaven, Lord forgive me for my sins, not listening to your word and to my parents, help me to show your love more at home, school, church and everyday that I may be honoring. In Jesus name, Amen!

About the Author

Frank Ball was the Pastor of Biblical Research and Writing at Anchor Church in Keller, Texas, for three years. After thirty years of research and teaching the life of Christ, he began a twelve-year project to analyze every gospel story about Christ and put the events into chronological order. Ball meticulously considered almost twenty resources, including the Greek and Hebrew texts, the opinions of other Bible writers, and different translations, to make sure his translation was correct. Using the gospel of John as the chronological backbone, he determined an appropriate time setting for every event.

Ball believes there is no greater role model than Jesus. The better we know him, the more we can be like him. "It's impossible," he says, "to love someone you don't know. The Scripture arranged in this easy-to-understand order helps us to know Jesus. It allows us to be more of an 'eyewitness' to the events of Christ's life, and in doing so, to be more like him."

Ball has always been a great student, especially in math and the sciences, but hated English. He excelled in high school; however, because his family was impoverished, he was unable to attend college. After high school he took a menial job that supported his parents and siblings. In 1968 he married Kay and they had three sons. Kay passed away in 2005. Ball currently lives with his family in Fort Worth, Texas.

When personal computers became available, Ball embraced systems analysis and business administration. He devoured reading material on the high-tech industry and was a successful business executive until he made a commitment to full-time ministry in 2002.

In 1995, despite his dislike of English, Ball believed God was redirecting his life, and he devoted himself to writing—which has, ironically, become his passion. Knowing the challenges he faced without a secondary education, Ball became self-taught by voraciously reading books as if they were college texts. He studied as if he were preparing for tests.

Ball says that this project wasn't his idea at all. He just had an unexplainable desire to do this chronology, and along the way he realized that God had a plan. Using his Eyewitness Stories version of the Gospels as a foundation, Ball assembled the gospel information, as well as more than two hundred other Bible verses from the Old and New Testaments, to create what he believes is the accurate order of events. Ball believes the combined stories resolve some of the discrepancies that some say exist in the Gospels.

1. The gospel stories have existed for some two thousand years. Why put them chronologically together now?

Nine out of ten Americans own a Bible, but the people who most need to hear the message don't often read the book. They believe Scripture is outdated and too difficult to understand. Would they read the story of Christ if it were presented as a single story that is easy to understand? Most of them say they would, so Eyewitness answers that need.

2. Why do the Gospels appear to have conflicting stories?

At a crime scene, eyewitnesses always have different testimonies about what happened. Because each gospel writer had his own point of view and spoke to a different audience, the information is actually complementary, not conflicting. The apparent conflicts disappear when we use each viewpoint to compile a complete and compelling story.

3. How was writing and recording events different two thousand years ago?

We now use a computer keyboard to rapidly type and edit text that prints on our laser printers. In the first century, writers had only their parchment scrolls in which every word was hand written, one character at a time. Cut-and-paste editing and simple rearrangement of details into chronological order didn't exist. Writers naturally put down information as it came to mind, giving us a flow of thought that isn't always in date sequence.

4. What is the significance of John's gospel being the last one written?

If John were to introduce his book to us today, he might say, "Let me tell you the rest of the story." There wasn't much need to repeat what had already been written, so he gives us clarification of events that were already being told and retold, as well as eyewitness reports that are found nowhere else. Unlike the other writers, who were not always chronological, John unfolds most of his story in date sequence in relation to the Jewish feasts. This gives us a chronological guide for putting all the biblical information in order.

5. In what way do you think the readers of Eyewitness will have a clearer understanding of the nature of God?

Jesus said, "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father." If we can see what Jesus is doing and hear what he is saying, we become eyewitness of God's nature. Because the words in Eyewitness are more like what we would read in a novel, readers are able to visualize themselves as present at the gospel events. It's the next best thing to actually being there, walking with the other disciples.

6. How many different Bible translations were necessary to complete this project?

Hundreds of scholars have invested countless hours in the production of good translations. In the development of an easy-to-read wording for Eyewitness, translators' handbooks and more than fifteen popular translations, as well as the Greek and Hebrew texts, were considered.

7. Is the Bible flawed in presenting the life of Christ in four separate books?

No, not at all. Each author's report has its own perspective and meets a different audience need. Matthew points to the fulfillment of ancient prophecies to prove Jesus was the Son of God. Mark, the shortest of the Gospels, is the quickest to read. Luke, being a physician, gives many important details. And John adds clarity, chronology, and new information. Eyewitness was written for those who don't read the Bible and for people who are helped by seeing how the story unfolded, chronologically.

8. Why do you think Eyewitness appeals to people who seldom attend church?

Even professed atheists and agnostics have questions about the meaning of life and what happens after we die. Eyewitness isn't a book of difficult-to-understand rules that threatens punishment if we don't do everything exactly right. The life of Christ is presented in a way so people can easily understand the value of loving our enemies and helping people in need.
